Threads that bite
into 0.5 mm sheet.

Light-gauge steel and aluminum cannot hold a tapped thread for long. Sheet-metal fastening turns thin panels into strong, re-assemblable joints from one side of the work.

Strong threads where the panel is too thin to tap

A rivet nut or self-clinching fastener is peened or swaged into a punched hole, spreading load across the sheet and leaving a clean, reusable thread. There is no need to reach behind the panel, no welding distortion and no brittle tapped strip. We supply steel, stainless and aluminum versions sized to the panel and the assembly load.

  • Rivet nuts and blind bolts installed from one side in seconds
  • Self-clinching studs, standoffs and flanged nuts for thin and semi-hard sheet
  • Insert screws that give a reusable thread in panels too thin to tap
  • Steel, stainless and 6061 aluminum options matched to panel material

FAQ

Sheet-metal fastening questions we hear most

We cover roughly 0.5 to 6 mm, with part selection driven by the panel material, hole size and required clamp load. We will confirm grip range against your drawing.

No. Blind rivet nuts and blind bolts are installed from one side with a setting tool, which is why they win on enclosures and closed sections.

Correct hole size and clinch/rivet geometry prevent spin-out and push-out. We specify the punch dimensions so the joint stays put through assembly and service.

Building panels that need a thread that lasts?

Share the sheet thickness, hole size and assembly load - we will recommend the rivet nut, self-clinching part or insert screw for the job.
